Appartment Renovation

The apartment was designed by VOIS architects in 2016. The layout was redesigned around the client’s particular everyday needs and the aesthetics of the space were based in a restrained material palette based on desaturated oak wood and marble. The proposal involved a layout that connect and separate the views and the spaces. The main living areas are arranged parallel to the unobstructed views . This axis is intensified through the geometry of the hardwood floor that runs along the exterior spaces of the entire apartment.The vertical axis is highlighted through the methodical connection of the spaces that create sweeping views between the two sides. Aliveri marble was used extensively on walls and floors and it becomes an essential feature of the design were the dynamic formations of the marble veins are toned down through an etching procedure.
